Freedom From Acne and Pimple Marks – My Story

November 3rd, 2009

Hey Kyle here,

If you’re looking for the best way to get rid of acne, then I’m glad you’ve found this website and I strongly suggest you keep reading….

Because this is my uncensored freedom from acne and pimple marks story.  The ups, the downs, what stuff didn’t work and finally the one thing that did help me get amazingly clear skin.

A few months ago I found myself in place probably not much different than yours.   The years of acne suffering were taking their toll on me.   My confidence was at an all time low.  The pimples were coming out of nowhere, reeking havoc on my social life and my confidence.   I had whiteheads, blackheads, blemishes, neck acne, back acne, you name it, I had it.  I was super insecure and embarrassed about my skin.  As the years passed and my condition became adult acne, I was became more and more distraught about my acne and was simply at the end of my rope.   Thankfully, I found the one thing that did work.

When I first started getting pimples, I was hurried to the dermatologist and prescribed acne creams, acne lotion, pills and told a million things to do that would give me clear skin.  Well, hundreds of dollars and prescriptions later, I still suffered from the ravages of teenage acne.  Not to mention the unknown toll all these chemicals might be taking on my body.

During this time, I tried over the counter acne products.   On went the acne cream, down went the acne pills and still, my breakouts didn’t stop.  In fact, they seemed to get worse the more acne treatments I tried.  I sensed a pattern: expensive chemicals that made big promises but didn’t work.  I was starting to think that I would have to suffer from acne pimples my entire life.  Thankfully it never came to that.

In a last ditch effort; I turned to home remedies for acne.  Perhaps you have tried a few?  Well, we probably both got similar results.  Yeap, still more pimples and blemishes.  At this point, I was nearly in tears.  I felt like a victim considering all the insecurity and social outings I missed at the hands of a pimply face.

But there is a happy ending to this story.  Eventually, in my search for remedies for acne, I stumbled across a pimple remedy that did work. This was the first solution that treated the cause of my acne and not just the obvious and ugly symptoms.  Gone were the days of harsh creams and pointless home remedy pimple treatments.

Click here to see the product I’m talking about.  The only downfall was that I had to be very disciplined with my skin care and especially my diet.  But boy was it ever worth it!  I never thought this day would come and I hope you find freedom from acne like I did.

Well, that’s all for now.   I hope you found this information and my story useful.   If you want, you can Click here to see the program that finally cured my acne.

How to Remove Pimple Marks

November 2nd, 2009

You’re probably scouring the Internet looking for pimple remedies and how to remove those stubborn pimple marks.  You’ve probably read about the different pimple treatment products and the many acne home remedies such as lemons, ice, peroxide, honey and even toothpaste.

Let me tell you, I’ve tried them all.  Some work, some don’t.  But what none of them do is treat the cause of your blemishes or are a long term solution.  Not to worry, I think I have a natural acne treatment you’ll love.

A little while ago, I came across an all natural facial that balances out the pH of the skin, reduces the bacteria, draws out the skin’s impurities and most importantly, helps reduce redness of pimples and pimple marks.  I forgot to mention one thing; it costs you just a few bocks and is 100% natural.  So what is this miracle solution?  It is the avocado oatmeal facial and everything in it can be found at the grocery store.

Avocado Oatmeal Facial

-       ¼ cup of ground oatmeal

-       1 tsp. honey

-       1 medium, ripe avocado

To grind up the oatmeal, simply use a blender or food processer and grind until just before it’s a powder.  Mix all three together into a paste and apply to your face.  You could also apply it to other trouble spots if you suffer from chest acne, neck acne or back acne.  Leave it on for 15-30 minutes to allow it to really get into your pores.  You should notice a real improvement in the overall health of your skin and a reduction in redness of those annoying pimple marks.  The facial will keep your skin balanced for 3-4 days.

Now I know what you’re thinking…honey and avocado on my face?  Won’t I get clogged pores?  The answer is no.  The oatmeal helps to draw out the natural oil of your skin and also balance the rest of the ingredients in the facial.

Best Treatment For Acne Scars

November 1st, 2009

Acne can be a stressful and emotionally taxing problem to suffer from.  Many of the those who suffer end of with ugly pimple marks and even worse, the life long marks of their condition known as acne scars.  Acne scarring can have serious effects on a person’s self-esteem and emotional health. Fortunately, there have been great advances in the treatment of acne-related scarring in the last decade. It is important to note that even the best treatment can’t heal acne scars completely.

Laser Therapy – Using lasers to treat scars or pimple marks is a new technology, but is one of the most promising options for those who suffer from scarring. The lasers remove the scarred skin, and encourage growth of new skin in its place. After treatment, the skin will be pink and swollen for one to two weeks.  During this time, bandages need to be kept over the skin to prevent infection. It takes months for the skin to return to normal, but most people will see less noticeable scars and smoother skin. Laser scar treatment can be quite expensive, however.  It is also interesting to note that lasers can be used to cure acne and get rid of pimple before it gets to late and acne scars form.

Surgical Therapy also known as Dermabrasion - This form of acne scar solution uses a motorized burr, which usually contains diamond particles. Diamonds are very strong abrasives when in a powder-form. A scab will form once the procedure is completed. Once the wound is healed, a smooth pink layer of new skin will appear. This is much the same concept as sanding an old desk to revel the smooth, fresh wood underneath.  Multiple treatments are often necessary, and each one can cost $1500.   Like laser acne scar removal, dermabrasion can be used even for those who don’t have acne scarring or pimple marks as a way to improve skin tone and texture.

Acne Creams and Gels - There are many types of acne scar cream that claim to reduce the appearance of acne scarring. Some contain Vitamin E and other nutrients to help heal the skin. Mederma is a popular brand name in case you were wondering. Many people report that it can improve scars in as little as 8 weeks for new scars, or 6 months for older scars. Results with topical ointments like this will vary from person to person.  You should really talk with your dermatologist to see if this is a good option in scar reduction.

Collagen Injection – This is a temporary fix, where the patient’s own body fat or collagen is injected into the scar site. This works well for some people with deep-pitted scars. The material injected serves to raise the skin, and reduce the pitted appearance, and wrinkling from the scar. However, this procedure needs to be repeated every 6 months and can be expensive.

Topical Acne Treatments

October 29th, 2009

As you probably know by now, I hate those nasty prescription acne medicines that dermatologists prescribe. I used them for countless years and I never did achieve clear skin like they promised. Plus, they did nothing to reduce pimple marks.

Even though I’m a big proponent of using a natural acne treatment, I figured I would go ahead and fill you in on some of the latest ways to clear acne and get rid of pimples.

The following acne treatments are prescribed by dermatologists either as a single product to be used more commonly as a combination of treatments for acne.

Acne Bacteria Killers

These are things such as gels, or creams that you apply to the surface of your skin. Many of them are used as antibiotics to help reduce the number of acne bacteria on your skin.

Common names include clindamycin, sulfur compounds, and erythromycin. All of these drugs aide to prevent acne. The benefit is that they are applied directly to your skin, which makes them more effective in preventing acne breakouts and reduces the actual amount of the acne product that is needed.

The two major drawbacks to these acne creams are that they are unnatural chemicals that the body will absorb and have to process. Also, the acne bacteria on your skin may develop resistance and make the acne treatment less effective.

Retinoids for Pimples and Acne Scars

Another type of topical acne remedy is the use of retinoids. Retinoids are similar to vitamin A, the anit-wrinkle creams. They work by stopping the oil and dead skin cells that block pores from just that, blocking the pores. Many people who suffer from acne scars like using these products as well. A few of the brand names are Retin A, Tazorac, and Avita.

The big draw back to these again is that they are unnatural chemicals that your body will absorb and process. Also, the acne skin on your face will become quite sensitive to sunlight. Not only that, the sunlight also reduces the effectiveness of the product. So if you live in a sunny climate such as the west coast, these products may not be very effective in helping you treat acne and acne scars.

The Old Pimple Treatment Standby

This last acne cream I’m going to talk about is an old stand by of the clear skin world that I took way back in the day. It’s call benzoyl peroxide and you’ve probably heard of it.

It is similar to other acne solutions in that it helps kill the bacteria that cause acne zits. It is often used after washing your face in conjunction with other ways to get rid of zits.

Besides the fact that it can stain your sheets and clothes, it also can cause skin irritation and takes time to start to work.

My Thoughts

To be honest with you, the best solution is one that is natural and works form the inside out. Remember, all the above acne solutions may give your symptom relief, but they fail to cure your acne causes.

Three Acne Myths That Drive Me Nuts

October 28th, 2009

When it comes to getting rid of acne, it seems that everyone thinks they’re a skin care expert. I can’t think of an area of life where I’ve heard more myths about removing acne and clearing up your skin.

After doing some research and really trying to find the causes of acne pimples and pimple marks, I have boiled down the myths that irk me the most. This isn’t your standard rehashed acne treatment junk you see on most websites. This is all based on science…read on.

1. Acne is caused by oily skin

- Oily skin does not cause those nasty face pimples you keep getting. In fact, it really has nothing to do with acne. What does cause the acne on your face, and your body, is the bacteria on your skin. It is the growth of bacteria that causes your immune system to attack and in turn, causes a whitehead to appear.

2. Dermatologist prescribed acne creams and prescriptions are safe

- All of these miracle pimple remedy drugs that get touted by dermatologists are doing some real damage to your skin and health. Some products could dry out or irritate your skin, increasing the redness of pimples. The pills that are prescribed to kill the acne causing bacteria on your skin actually kill all of the good bacteria in your intestinal tract, which could lead to severe problems down the road.

3. There is no direct relationship between diet and acne breakouts

- When it comes to getting rid of pimples, this myth couldn’t be farther from the truth. But instead of taking this at face value, let’s dig a little deeper. Your immune system is in charge of killing bacteria and viruses. And not just the ones that give you a runny nose, but the ones that give you acne pimples. Now when you eat sugary foods loaded with chemicals and starchy carbs, you suppress your immune system. This in turn reduces your body’s ability to fight the acne bacteria. Thus, leading to more blackheads and whiteheads.

The Bottom Line

Treatment for pimples is simple. Don’t let your skin dry out. Quit taking those nasty dermatologist prescribed acne creams and pills. And finally, stay away from the sugar and refined carbs.  Just these three things may not cure your acne pimples, but they will go along way in helping to get clearer skin.
